Two Girls and twice as much fun! Here comes two Brides! Same sex Weddings are hotter than ever. Annie and Kristina got Engaged in 2013 and chose their Wedding day as the same date as they got Engaged on November 5th. Annie proposed to Kristina wearing a wonder women outfit and got down on one knee. The Girls put a lot of love into the preparations and Kristina even designed the invitations. Annie and Kristina planned their Wedding to be on Annie’s family property.
Their loved shined even though there was 2 huge storms and hail the size of golf balls just before the exchange of vows. Hair and makeup still look amazing. Tracie, our amazing hair and makeup artist really did so well for hair and makeup to survive!
The day begun with Tracie arriving at the house and the girls didn’t see each other till the ceremony, one at each end of the house. Tracie’s one of our main artists and is actively involved in the LGBT community as are a few of our great wedding hair and makeup stylists here at The Powder Room!
Kristina’s Wedding hair and makeup look was certainly Rockstar! Pre prepared was some extra clip in hair extensions coloured pink and purple added into the hairstyle especially to define the low set braid. To make sure the style lasted hair was prepped with anti humidity “Joico humidity blocker” and hot tonged and woven into the braid. Makeup had lots of focus on the eyes and more subtle lips with Powder Room’s Lipstick “Ms Amour”
Annie’s look was soft and understated glamour. Hair created was a textured bun with a pearl headpiece. Thank goodness for “Urban decay” setting spray which saved the girls makeup after the downpour. Annie’s eye shadow look was a soft bronze eyes and a defined liquid liner which looked amazing with lots of lashes. Lip colour was our Powder Room “Dreamy” Lipstick & “Fairytale”Lipgloss.
These two look like they are made for each other and Tracie really showed the girls personalities and personal style in the looks created.
At the Powder Room we are so excited for what is to come for the LGBTQ community. We believe in LOVE and are proud to support Same Sex Weddings for Wedding hair and makeup. We are dedicated to making your Wedding day stylish and unique to you both.
Some tips for hiring your LGBT Wedding hair and makeup supplier:
*Book in a consultation before booking, meet with the business and have a chat. You will get a feel for who they are as a business and if they are a right fit for you.
* Talk about your individual style ideas and see if they can contribute ideas and are on the same wavelength.
* Think about if you are both getting ready at the same house/ venue or 2 different locations - can the hair and makeup artists accommodate this?
The 2018 Weddig season is going to be a great year for Same Sex couples.
Here at The Powder Room, we always say "Yes" to Love!
