Well, what a morning it was! We were all up at 3am to be at the Stamford Plaza by 4:15am to beautify Ellie and her bridesmaids.

Ellie looked as lovely as ever and was surprisingly calm with just a few pre-wedding jitters. Ellie came and met with us yesterday and had a chat about how she would like her hair and makeup to look on the day. As everything was organised in such a whirlwind, there was no time for a trial, however Ellie, Colleen, Sam and Julie were so happy and easygoing and were happy for us to create our magic.

Ellie wanted her hair to be up off her neck but very soft incorporating some curl and her veil to be worn underneath. The girls used Sunscience hair products in the hair which were great for shine and hold. Ellie’s makeup was also very soft with pink golds and a little depth added with a subtle charcoal. Being a beautician, Ellie’s skin was just beautiful so Sarah gave her a light foundation coverage making her skin look glowing and luminous. Ellie wore The Powder Room lips with love lipstick in Miss Amore and lipgloss in Pink Champagne. Of course false lashes were applied – every bride needs long luscious lashes!

Tracie and Elissa then had to make their way over to Gianni’s Portside to look after Jessica Mauboy’s hair and makeup. Jessica sang for The Victorian Bushfire Appeal  last night, so she only arrived in Brisbane early this morning. By the time she arrived at Gianni’s Tracie and Elissa only had 25 minutes with her for hair and makeup. Both girls said that Jessica was absolutely lovely, very friendly and down to earth. Jessica sang for the bride and grooms first dance (Ellie in her beautiful wedding gown and Phil in a handsome looking tux).

Camilla wasn’t left out this morning either as Kristi was at the B105 studios to do her hair and makeup at 4:30am too.

Overall a fantastic morning was had by all. What a way to say I Do!!

We are very excited to announce that The Powder Room will be looking after the hair and makeup for B105′s naked wedding.

Our only condition upon accepting was that we all remained fully clothed!!

Phil and Ellie will be getting married on Friday 13th February at Gianni’s Portside in the nude!! (Very Brave!)

Ellie is 25 years old and works in the beauty industry. Her fiance, Phil, is also 25 years old and works in nursing. They first met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, have been together for 14 months and engaged since September 08. Phil showed off his romantic side when he popped the question to Ellie. He got down on one knee in a very crowded restaurant and proposed. Phil then whisked Ellie away in a limo for a weekend away on the Coast.

Ellie has never been naked in public before but Phil once stripped down to a G-string in public to enter a contest. They think getting married in the nude will be a great story to share with their children one day.

Ellie is absolutely lovely and is so excited about the day and we will meet with Ellie on Thursday to go through all of her wedding hair and makeup ideas. Ellie will also be receiving one of our signature Powder Room lipsticks to ensure her lips stay luscious throughout the day.

It will be a very early morning, starting with the girls at 4:30am, as the ceremony starts at Gianni’s Portside at 8am! We will also be looking after Camilla’s hair and makeup on the morning making sure she looks glamorous for the day.
