Welcome to our new Powder updated website, I love it so much and it is oh so pretty!!!
I have been daydreaming for a while about how it would all come together. I thought that my first entry should be about my passion and feelings to do with Weddings and all I have to do is think about my own wedding.
You hear girls say that a wedding day is the most special day, and it really is. I had been with my partner Paul for 12 years before we decided to tie the knot and my wedding day was the most special day of my life. I suppose knowing that every day I can help to make other bride’s wedding day special, is what makes me believe in what I do.
My Wedding song was Gorecki by Lamb which is a breath-snatchingly beautiful song, whenever I hear the song I still get goosebumps and feel the emotion of the day. I will always think of this as our song and no one else’s. I was walking down a beach path with my Dad who is no longer with me, he passed away 6 years after my Wedding. He was very sick at my Wedding and didn’t want to let me know. It’s a funny thing because the words of this song I feel apply to my Dad, who gave me the strength to be who I am today.
I wanted to make my day special, intimate, and stress free. I kept asking myself, do the small things really matter? When I hear my wedding song it makes me think of the big picture that I would still be married to George Clooney…whoops Paul…and have all the special people with me on the day.
